Every Monday afternoon from 4:30 until 6:00pm, a small group meets for Centering Prayer.  members of the group include people who come from St John's, from other Anglican churches, from other denominations as well as others who have no religious afilliation.

Centering Prayer is a contemporary form of what is known as the prayer of the heart.  It is a method of silent prayer in which we respond to the prompting of the Holy Spirit to consent to God's presence and action within us.  It is a discipline that fosters a deeper relationship with God, a receptive prayer of resting in God beyond thoughts, words and feelings.
